Are you a member of a local voluntary or community organisation that needs volunteers to help?

The Staffordshire Moorlands Volunteer Centre provides the opportunity for organisations wishing to engage with volunteers to register details of their organisation with us

 The Staffordshire Moorlands Volunteer Centre holds information from organisations including -

* the job description of the voluntary opportunity - including the time commitment required
* the training offered to volunteers
* details of liability insurance, health & safety policies and equal opportunities policies
* access and other issues for people with disabilities
* policy on payment of expenses
* posters & leaflets advertising the organisation

We keep in regular contact with the organisations registered with us, in order to keep our information on the organisation and their opportunities, accurate and up-to-date.

   Our service is free and is a great way for local people to find out about you and your services.              All of the information provided by local groups is held in our offices at Leek and Biddulph, is taken with us whenever we are out and about at volunteering events - and is available to browse through on the national volunteering website:

The Volunteer Centre is available to advise and support organisations in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers.  We advise all organisations to write and keep up-to-date a Volunteer Policy.

Our "Guidelines to writing a Volunteer Policy" is now available to download as a PDF doc.     Please contact us if you would like to further help in this area.
