The National Council for Voluntary Organisations is the umbrella body for the voluntary sector in England. They work to support the voluntary sector and to create an environment in which voluntary organisations can flourish. www.ncvo-vol.org.uk

The Russell Commission Report was published in March 2005 and created a national framework for involving young people in volunteering and getting involved in their local communities.
