The Staffordshire Moorlands Volunteer Centre are currently running a project, funded by v, to run one-day tasters of volunteering, to all young people aged 16 - 25 years.

If you have one day to spare and would like to try your hand at something new, then why not give us a call and we can help match you up with a local organisation to suit you?

We are also running a number of group activity days where you will learn new skills and try something completely different as part of a group of about 12 people.

11 volunteers recently took part in one of our taster days, run in conjunction with the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. They all piled into our minibus and we headed out onto the moorlands at Swineholes Nature Reserve, where we all had a great day, learning tree coppicing skills, hedge and shrub clearing and getting thoroughly mucky whilst learning about the importance of conservation volunteers. If you would like to join in something similar then please contact us.
