The Staffordshire Rural Access to Services Partnership works with public sector organisations, community and voluntary organisations and where, appropriate social enterprises and private companies, to develop evidence led solutions to improve access to work, training and services for rural and disadvantaged communities.

The Partnership area covers the Staffordshire Moorlands, East Staffordshire and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

The RASP will assist with the facilitation and delivery of a Wheels to Work project throughout rural Staffordshire - a scheme which provides transport solutions to individuals who are experiencing difficulties in accessing training, employment and / or educational opportunities, due to lack of sustainable public or private transport.  Schemes can be particularly important for young people living in isolated rural communities.

To view further information on the Wheels To Work project please take a look at our leaflet - available to download as a pdf document.

Or please view our new factsheet which tells you all about the options available to you.

To find out whether you are eligible to apply for a Rural Access Grant, please click here.

If you or your group can help us to identify transport needs in your area, then we would be happy to talk to you.  Please contact Malcolm Beardmore: Partnership Officer (t) 01538 398689

The Partnership has a Management and Steering Group consisting of funding partners, Statutory Organisations, Primary Care Trusts, Rural Community Councils, Voluntary and Community groups.

The project is managed by SMCVS on behalf of these partners.
