The Neighbourhood Forum Meetings:

The Staffordshire Moorlands Neighbourhood Forums are meetings, held quarterly in your neighbourhood.

They cover the areas served by the Moorlands Primary Care Trust and Local Strategic Partnership at BIDDULPH, CHEADLE, CHEDDLETON, ENDON, LEEK, TEAN, WERRINGTON and KIDSGROVE.
They are specifically designed to give an opportunity to members of the public to listen to the latest news regarding health, community safety and other provisions and services in their area, and to give their views should they so wish.
They also provide a venue for other agencies and organisations to consult with the public regarding their projects or to just introduce themselves.

WHAT WILL THE NEIGHBOURHOOD FORUMS DO?

The Forums are task-focused, with an ability to understand local deprivation and concerns, and drive forward new realistic initiatives, and work with the Local Strategic Partnership and other partner organisations to achieve measurable improvements in their areas.

The proof of success of the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP), Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Neighbourhood Forums will be real changes in neighbourhoods which improve residents' lives, well-being and feeling of security, not only the production of documents. It is important that the focus of the Forums and the professionals and residents who work with them reflects this.

In turn, the members of the LSP and PCT will recognise that decision-making should be as devolved as possible, and that – in order to be successful - the Forums will need to be included when making effective decisions about real budgets and resources.

The Local Strategic Partnership and the Primary Care Trust will do all they can to make Neighbourhood Forums successful but your help is vital in playing a part to improve life in your neighbourhood.

If you are a local resident and are interested in your health, general services, provisions, community safety and/or you have a problem of any kind that you would like us to look into on your behalf, then this could be the meeting for you.

Light refreshments are provided free of charge at all venues and leaflets are available to pick up on a wide variety of local services.
