How do I go about volunteering?

You can either make an appointment to come and see one of our officers or you can look at a range of opportunities on the do-it website and apply from there.

An appointment will allow you to discuss your interests and abilities with us so that we can match you up with the right opportunities. We will give you all the information you need to make contact with appropriate organisations or, if you prefer we can contact those organisations for you.

If you want a support worker or relative to come with you that is fine and they can often help you to travel to the organisation for an informal chat with them or help you to fill out an application form.

To make an appointment, just contact one of our centres - the details are on our Contact Us page.

Appointments are not always necessary, but if you want to guarantee to see a volunteer officer, please phone us for an appointment on 01538 398240 or email us at northstaffsvolunteering@smcvs.co.uk.
