14 November 2011:
Domestic Violence Awareness Event
The Moorlands Together Safer and Stronger Communities Partnership are organising an event on the afternoon of Friday, 9 December 2011 to raise awareness of domestic violence. This will involve a production from an external theatre company and presentations from Staffordshire Women's Aid on their activities in the District.
The production is quite moving and thought-provoking - some people may find aspects of the production upsetting. It is, however, a powerful way of highlighting the realities of domestic abuse. After the play, Staffordshire Women's Aid will provide a short update on the services that they provide in the District and the good work that they are doing to support victims of domestic abuse.
The afternoon's activities will start at 1330 hours in the Churnet Room at Moorlands House and should be finished at around 1600 hours.
Please could you let Amanda Simcock know if you would like to attend by email to amanda.simcock@staffsmoorlands.gov.uk. Places are limited so will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
