  Gardening Service

Does your garden need an extra helping hand?     Are the weeds taking over?

 SMCVS’s Gardening Service provides friendly, helpful gardeners to be aware of, and meet the needs of, older people in our local area. 

Examples of work undertaken: 

  • Lawn Mowing

  • Hedge Trimming

  • Pruning

  • Weeding

  • General Tidying

PLEASE NOTE:   that major clearance of large areas or landscaping will not be undertaken

Eligibility:

You are eligible to use the Gardening Service if: 

  • You live within the Staffordshire Moorlands and

  • You are aged 60 years or above and in receipt of state pension

OR

  • You live within the Staffordshire Moorlands and

  • You are aged 50 years or above and are in receipt of one of the following benefits:

  •  Income support with disability premium

  •  Working tax credit with disability element

Availability:

It will not be possible to offer a regular gardening service. Frequency of visits will depend on demand.

Cost:

Labour £6.00per hour (minimum charge of £6.00) + cost of materials
